Deeson Online sponsors BarCamp Canterbury

Deeson Online is proud to be supporting BarCamp Canterbury. It takes place on Saturday 21 June at the University of Kent.

What is BarCamp Canterbury?

BarCamp Canterbury is a free one-day unconference loosely based around the theme of 'technology'.

Who is it for?

Pretty much anyone into technology... or ideas!

What are the talks on?

That's the beauty of an unconference: the themes and topics are defined and chosen by you. At the start of the day, as an attendee, you can suggest a talk you want to give, and away you go!

What can attendees expect?

There will be four seminar rooms each running a talk back-to-back (plus breaks and lunch), which means you can pick-and-mix throughout the day and jump between presentations. The talks are around 20 minutes long, followed by 10 minutes of questions from the audience.

Examples from last year

One person explained their role as a blood runner - someone who takes blood from the blood bank to hospitals - while another speaker talked about how to reverse engineer console games. So it's pretty interesting... and can be very diverse!

Check out BarCamp Canterbury site for full details - and hope to see you on there on June 21!
