Membership Excellence 2015
On 11th March, I'll be speaking at Membership Excellence 2015 in London and the conference is looking to be bigger and better than ever this year.
The event will cover a wide range of key issues in the membership sector, including new member recruitment, existing member retention and membership marketing.
Within the key areas, there will be a deep dive into content strategies, personalisation and crowdsourcing - to name just a few.
The key focus of my session will be developing an effective digital strategy for membership organisations. I'll be exploring the potential for digital in the membership sector and the challenges/opportunities which may present themselves along the way.
And importantly I'll also be looking at how to avoid some of the common pitfalls that many organisations fall into when developing their digital strategies.
The event takes place at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury and features a trade exhibition where we'll be sharing the floor with other leading commercial providers of services to the membership and trade association sector.
I spoke to conference chair, Richard Gott for a bit more detail on what to expect on the day:
Who should attend the conference?
Senior association and membership professionals – this includes professionals working within the following key functions - membership, marketing, communications, public relations, professional services, standards and CPD.
Will there be opportunities for interaction with the key note speakers after their main talks?
Yes. All speakers will be available for questions at the end of sessions and informal interaction during the breaks on the day.
What will I take away from the day?
90% of delegates go back to the office and change/develop at least one thing leading to enhanced member value and/or improved member engagement – this impacts directly on member retention and recruitment.
‘Membership Excellence 2015 is a unique opportunity for association and membership professionals to ‘focus on all things membership’ for a day. It is the only national conference of its kind and enables delegates to pick and mix attendance at sessions linked to organisational need. This is the second conference of its kind and it is great that Deeson is an official sponsor for the second consecutive year.’- Richard Gott, Keynote Seminar Stream Chair, MEMX
For all attending, I hope to see you there. Get in touch if you fancy meeting for a coffee on the day - tweet me @simonwakeman.
